George Thomas Warfield, Jr., 84, formerly of Los Angeles, California, departed this life on Saturday, March 4, 2023, in Decatur, Illinois. Mr. Warfield, the first born of 11 children, was born to George Thomas, Sr. and Jessie Pauline (Ledsinger) Warfield, on Oct. 11, 1938, in Louisville. He was raised and educated in Metropolis, Illinois, graduating from Metropolis High School in 1956. After graduation, he relocated to Decatur, Illinois, in 1956, where he was employed with Caterpillar as a factory laborer.
